Course Description:
- The presentation will discuss the efficacy of early exercise treatment for sport-related concussion (SRC) and how to prescribe it with and without systematic exercise testing.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the efficacy of early aerobic exercise treatment for facilitating recovery from SRC.
- Describe how to generate an exercise prescription using systematic exercise testing.

- Bio: Dr. John J. Leddy is a Professor of Clinical Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and of the American College of Physicians. He is the Director of Outcomes Research for the UBMD Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He is a Division 1 team physician and Medical Director of the University at Buffalo Concussion Research and Management Center. He is a Member of the Expert Panels for the Fifth and Sixth International Consensus Conferences on Concussion in Sport. In conjunction with Dr. Barry Willer, he developed the Buffalo Concussion Treadmill Test.
